other people don't understand the rules, makes them afraid. They think it cost alot? less than $2000.00 for full engine, mount, clutch. That is nothing compaired to tag (the time we run)..... Think about it!

New guy here....
I really like your rules, it gives me a place to come and play and test out some ideas I have. I'm not sure how many races I'll be able to make it to since I'm in Northern Michigan, but the fact I can run open 4 cycles on a sprint track is a pretty powerful draw for me. If anyone needs help getting one of these engines together feel free to give me a call @ 231-264-8707.
Thanks,
John Matthews

Hey Garritt, I'd love to get my Honda F200 rebuilt for this class, just don't have the loot right now! Hopefully one of these days I'll race it with you guys.

Hey Adam..with all the stuff they make for the clones, big valve heads, big cams, billet rods, wiseco pistons..you should be able to make the Honda or a Clone run with all the rest of the 220's..It wold be cool for someone to grid up with a blue or yellow motor and then everyone have to run'em down!

I would love to see clones and hondas in the 220 ohv class and here is a idea to think about. Go to a weight to cc ratio. Now with a 220cc max and a 365lb min that would be a 1.66 ratio. Using that ratio a 196cc motor would have to weight in at 325lbs and the heavy guy that weights in at 430lbs could run 259 cc. No more bolting on 40lb or lead and no more giving away 50 lbs. One class means more karts on the track no three different weights for one class. I believe it would all equal out ,drag racing used this for years and had great class racing. Driver would have to declair cc and min weight at sign in, after race scale and record weight then check bore and stroke for cc. if you and teck figured correctly you win. If it gets more karts on the track we all win. Race safe and have fun this year

Greg, I'm sure my Honda could be made competitive, just got to save up some cash. As I said, it is an F200, so it has a billet rod and flywheel. How much $ do you think it would take to make it a competitive 220?

we have raced hondas before, they are fast... I would just switch it to methonal and high lift cam. you could also bore it out, but that is not where the big power is...

I even got a call today from Steve Stuckwish about him wanting to run one of these, looks like if we keep putting on good shows, more people will join us.
