I'm not sure it's exactly a "letdown" feeling but I do wish I was still in Goodland. and I too drag butt for a day or two after all my races.

The letdown is not being there to race still. I can't tell you how many people stopped by to say hi Friday night. My friend Scott couldn't believe it "You know the Mayor and the town cops?" Its kind of cool when you get to see these people 1 or 2 times a year but they make you feel like a member of their family

At least we can look forward to our next race! The folks at Goodland feel bad - as they've told me the race is like Christmas for them. That's why they hate seeing the weekend come to an end. Hope everyone had fun, and their racing rhumetism is better.
On a more somber note, r.i.p. Rocky Squirrel, you will be missed.

We just unloaded the trailer today...we were the last to leave the track at 10:00pm..the crowd was still cheering when we went down main street!! What a great community!!

I was still recovering after a couple of days, but better now. I know the wildlife there is probably taking a rest as well. Rocky the squirrel and Tweety bird were both lost , but the cat that ran in front of me and the 2nd squirrel are resting somewhere!

Martinsville, Brazil (when it's not raining), Goodland, and Hagerstown are all great towns we race in because we race right where people live, and they all have such nice people that support us so much, which makes those races special for us. Sometimes wish we had more time for that interaction - it really bonds the people to our event.
